This Privacy Policy explains how Collettey’s Cookies (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit colletteys.com, place an order, create an account, sign up for our emails or contact us.

  • Orders: your name, billing and shipping addresses, email address, phone number, gift messages, and the details of what you buy. Card and bank details are entered directly with our payment providers (see below); we do not see or store your full card number.
  • Your account: if you create an account, your username, email address, password (stored encrypted), order history, saved addresses and any subscriptions.
  • Forms: when you use our contact, bulk order, corporate gifting or event forms, the details you enter, such as your name, email, phone, company, event date, delivery address and message.
  • Email sign-up: your name and email address when you join our mailing list.

Information collected automatically

  • Your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, how you arrived at our site, and what you add to your cart.
  • This information is collected through cookies and similar technologies, described in section 6.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To process, bake, ship and deliver your orders, and to send order confirmations and shipping updates.
  • To manage your account and any cookie subscriptions.
  • To reply to your questions, quotes and event or corporate enquiries.
  • To send you our newsletter and offers, if you have signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To understand how our website is used and to improve it.
  • To measure and show our advertising, including on Google and Facebook/Instagram.
  • To protect our website and customers from fraud, spam and misuse.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

4. Who We Share Your Information With

We share personal information only with companies that help us run our business, and only as needed for the purposes above:

  • Payment providers: Stripe and PayPal process your payments. They handle your payment details under their own privacy policies.
  • Shipping carriers and shipping software: such as UPS, USPS and ShipStation, to deliver your order.
  • Email services: SendGrid (order and account emails) and Mailchimp (newsletters).
  • Analytics and advertising: Google (Analytics, Tag Manager and Ads), Meta (Facebook and Instagram), WordPress.com/Jetpack statistics and Springbot.
  • Website hosting, security and backups: our hosting provider, Wordfence and Google reCAPTCHA (which checks that form submissions come from real people).
  • When required by law: or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.

If you send a gift, we share the recipient’s name and address with our shipping carriers so we can deliver it.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

5. Marketing Emails

We only send marketing emails if you have signed up or agreed to receive them. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us to be removed. We will still send emails about your orders and account.

6. Cookies and Tracking

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use them to:

  • Run the shop: keep items in your cart, keep you logged in and process checkout. These are required for the site to work.
  • Understand site use: Google Analytics and Jetpack statistics.
  • Advertising: the Google Ads and Meta (Facebook) pixels measure our ads and may show you our ads on other websites.
  • Security: Google reCAPTCHA and Wordfence help block bots and attacks.
  • Embedded content: YouTube videos and Instagram posts on our pages may set their own cookies.

7. How Long We Keep Information

We keep order records for as long as needed for accounting, tax and legal purposes. We keep account and form information until you ask us to delete it or it is no longer needed. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time; unsubscribing removes you from future marketing emails.

8. How We Protect Your Information

Our website uses encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and payments are processed by PCI-compliant payment providers. We also use security tools to protect the site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

9. Your Choices and Rights

You can:

  • View and update your account details at any time in My Account.
  • Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct or delete it.
  • Opt out of marketing emails.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under local law. To make a request, email collette@colletteys.com. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on it. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

10. Children

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Links to Other Websites

Our website links to other sites, such as social media and payment pages. Their privacy practices are their own, so please review their policies.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
